Rovers Land Taylor as Tremarco Heads for Wrexham

Tranmere finally land on loan Blackburn Rovers left-back Andy Taylor on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee as fellow left-back Carl Tremarco leaves the Club in order to join former Rovers Manager Brian Little at Wrexham as they bid to remain in the Football League.
It was a fairly busy day for transfers at Prenton Park on Friday by usual standards as one player joined the Club permanently whilst another apparently left for good.
Just before lunchtime, Rovers announced that the services of on loan left-back Andy Taylor from Blackburn Rovers had been acquired permanently on a two and a half year deal for an undisclosed fee meaning Taylor is contracted to the Club until summer 2010.
Taylor had only last week turned down the chance to join Championship side Blackpool on a permanent basis with Pool Boss Simon Grayson insisting Taylor was set to join Tranmere instead in order to play first team football.
Today that proved to be the case and Taylor, who has looked solid during his two month loan spell will be a great addition to the squad.
Just an hour after the announcement that Taylor had signed on the dotted line, it was announced that another Rovers left-back was leaving the Club for good as Carl Tremarco agreed a move across the border to re-join his former Manager Brian Little at Wrexham.
It's believed that Wrexham have bought out the remaining four months of Tremarco's contract and the Rovers youngster will therefore be a Wrexham player at least until the end of the season as the Dragons battle to stay in the Football League.
Whether or not Andy Taylor proves to be the last signing Ronnie Moore will make in January remains to be seen but following Wednesday night's Cup exit at the hands of Hereford, Moore may have to re-think his transfer dealings in the next two weeks.
