Even the journey up to West London on the train was a journey full of noise. No way would a normal rush hour day better the packed sardine liked conditions that some fellow passengers had to endure. On arrival at Fulham Broadway some two hours before the start of the parade, stalls were doing extremely brisk business, the fly-pitchers, setting down where they could were pulling in the pounds and the whole area was an atmosphere of joy and happiness.

Supporters of all ages - from the very young to the very old congregated where they could to cheer 'The Special One and his boys. Mine and my families' vantage point could not have been picked better. Along the Kings Road, just on Stamford Bridge itself and just outside my usual matchday watering hole - Bar One. The road was narrowed down into one lane and when the buses eventually passed us by, you just couldn't wish for a better view. Eider, JT, Frank, Mr A, The Special One himself and I even managed to collect a Championship T-Shirt thrown into the crowd by Super JT. Thanks John.

The procession itself took in the following route. Left out of the ground along the Fulham Road before turning right into Hortensia Road, then right into King's Road all the way down into New King's Road, pass Eel Brook Common, where the majority of the parade celebrations were taking place, before finally finishing at Parsons Green itself.

Despite inclement weather forecasts - heavy rain and storms, the weather was extremely kind. Periods of sunshine and blustery winds.

Another day in this incredible Chelsea season that I will never forget.
