Back in December 2004, Chelsea scored four in the last thirty minutes to win the League encounter 4-0. Much of the team that day will not be available.

Robben, Duff, Terry, Drogba, Kezman, Bridgey are all out injured. Cech maybe rested again. Therefore what will 'The Special One' do to help Chelsea achieve more records that are available for the taking, and what type of team will he send out at the start?

Newcastle are likely to be without the injured Nicky Butt, Kieron Dyer, Robbie Elliott, Aaron Hughes and Lee Bowyer. Shola Ameobi is suspended but our former long-serving left-sider Celestine Babayaro returned to the side last week after injury.

For the record (gettit... yes alright Ed, snigger) the records that are up for grabs:

- Having conceded 14 League goals so far, Chelsea need to let in no more than one to beat Liverpool’s all-time record of 16 conceded in 1978/9. To their credit, Liverpool played 42 games. Arsenal has the best Premiership record, 17 conceded in 1998/9. Chelsea's best was 30 in 1998/9 and again last season. Chelsea have conceded 33 in all 58 games so far. Chelsea's least conceded in all games previously was 36 in 1911/2 when we played 40 games, 38 of them in the old Division Two.

- Chelsea have set an all-time top flight record of 10 consecutive away League wins which we can extend at Newcastle. The run started after the draw at Arsenal in December. Victory would earn us the finest away record in top flight history, currently held by the Tottenham ‘Double’ team who won 16 and drew 1 in 1960/1, an equivalent of 49 points. Victory would give us 50 points.

- Chelsea need to avoid defeat at Newcastle to beat our all-time record of 13 consecutive unbeaten away League games set in the old Division Two in 1988/9. Against Manchester United we equalled that, and this is already our top flight record, beating the 11 of 1965/6 to 1966/7.

- Chelsea have set the second best record of all time regarding the lowest number of League defeats in a season. Arsenal, of course, lost none last season. Our previous record of just three League defeats in a season, set in 1998/9, was one of ten occasions in the top flight that any side has gone with just three League defeats. Whether our second best is one defeat or two depends on the result at Newcastle.

- Avoiding defeat at Newcastle will mean just 6 defeats this season, equalling our record set in 1998/9 when we played just 56 games.

- Chelsea's goal difference is 57. Our best ever was 53 in the old Division Two in 1905/6. We will smash our best ever top flight record of 37 achieved last season.
