Chelsea is pleased to confirm that non-corporate tickets at Stamford Bridge will see an average increase of just 6.01% for the 2005/06 season. The vast majority of season tickets will see an average increase of just five per cent.

These figures are in line with a commitment given by the board at the Fans Forum earlier this year. As part of the overall ticket package for next season, Chelsea are close to concluding a highly significant ground reconfiguration.

Talks are advanced on the away supporters being moved from the East Stand Lower North and South sections from next season. This will then mean that supporters in the Matthew Harding Lower will not be displaced for domestic cup matches as in previous years. These two issues have probably been the most contentious amongst Chelsea fans in recent years. The board gave a pledge to try and find a solution to them earlier this season and there have been detailed discussions.

If talks are successful, the Chelsea family section will be moved from the Shed Lower to the East Stand Lower North and South sections giving an increased allocation of nearly 1,000 for family and juvenile concessions. This would also have the added bonus of Jose Mourinho' dug out being surrounded by Chelsea fans.

Away supporters for the majority of Premiership matches would be positioned in the Shed End South East Upper and Lower corners. For those Premiership matches where away clubs bring the maximum number of supporters, the Shed Lower would then also be used. For domestic cup matches, these same areas would be used but because the competitions demand that a maximum 15 per cent of the capacity be given to away fans the majority fo the Shed Upper will also be used.
