Chelsea 2-1 Liverpool: Garcia, Carroll Equals Karma
COME ON CHELSEA

May 6 2012
Rewind to 1st May 2006, Champions League semi-final 2nd leg at Anfield to the Garcia goal that never was. Fast forward six years, 2012 FA Cup Final at Wembley to the Carroll goal that wasn’t. Karma!! Deal with it!! What goes around, comes around and on Tuesday night, events at Anfield could make for very interesting viewing.
History was made all over the place at Wembley yesterday.
Chelsea won their 4th FA Cup final in six years.
Ashley Cole won his SEVENTH FA Cup winners medal.
John Terry lifted his 4th FA Cup trophy.
Petr Cech became the first goalkeeper to win FOUR FA Cup finals.
Didier Drogba scored at Wembley AGAIN.
Bobby Di became the first player, then manager (albeit interim) to win the FA Cup.
Wenger hasn't won a trophy for seven years, Bobby Di has won one within three months.
Until Carroll’s goal Chelsea were comfortable.
Liverpool’s only chance of note came in the first-half when Bellamy’s volley bounced off Ivanovic a couple of feet from the line.
When Carroll came on, the dynamic of the game changed.
From being in control, Chelsea were pushed back and forced to defend deeper as Liverpool went more direct looking for Carroll at every available opportunity, giving more space for Suarez to work with.
It came as no surprise when Liverpool pulled one back when Bosingwa (instead of clearing into row Z) saw his clearance cannon off Downing and the ball fell invitingly for Carroll to jig around ‘One England Captain’ JT before smashing the ball high into Cechs net.
For twenty-five minutes plus five minutes stoppage time, it was serious squeaky bum time.
Chelsea survived the ‘was it a goal?’ moment after Cech pulled off a sensational save to claw the ball back onto the bar before it dropped back onto the ground and fair play to Ivanovic he ignored the ‘celebrations’ around him to hoof the ball high and clear.
Ramires, ‘We Need a Song for Ramires’ gave Chelsea the lead after Man of the Match Mata fed the ball through for the Brazilian to race past Enrique before firing a low shot past Reina at his near post.
A Super Frank through ball to ‘Wembley’ Drogba saw the Ivorian shoot Chelsea into a 2-0 lead in front of the Blue and White hordes, six minutes into the second-half.
Roll on Tuesday Night.
Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry (c), Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires (Meireles 76), Mata (Malouda 90), Kalou, Drogba
How much karma is going to continue to come Liverpoll's way in a match against Chelsea? They've knocked us out of two European Cup rounds; isn't that enought Karma? Dalglish pledged earlier in the season that one team will be on the receiving end of a battering against Liverpool. I hope this pledge becomes a reality on Tuesday.
No Karma unfortunately - it would have had to been over the line and a disallowed goal for karma, so they still owe us one.
A good day indeed. Always very satisfying beating them. They behaved as expected, booing the national anthem yet they compete in the English league and their players play for England!
We made hard work of it in the end - we wouldnt be Chelsea otherwise suppose!
"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.
Look forward to Karma coming JTs way then, you can deal with it then! By the way in 2005, would happily have taken a pen and a sending off for Cech.
We are over the non-goal already you won't hear us talking about it in 6 years time, we lost the game in the first 60 minutes not the last 30.

Get it right 2005. We boo the National Anthem. You thugs couldn't observe a minutes silence in the semi. Yes we are hypocrites re Carrolls "goal", not heard Chelski saying Mata's semi final goal which changed the game against Spurs should have been chalked off! Yes 2005 we would have taken a first minute pen and Cech off funny never heard Jose talk about that just about LFC "ghost" goal!

You must be an armchair then... (where are you from? Norway?)Have a look back at our game at the Nou Camp - plenty of flags in their end. Loads and loads of clubs have been doing it for years - and before us. Still, lets not spoil a good ill-informed rant with facts eh?
As for your trophy list...yes...well done...long may it comfort you as trophies are no doubt quite important for you in mantaining your support.

Yet you quite happily accept playing in the Premier League in England and some of your players play for England? How do work that one out then?!
