A friendly match, behind closed doors, a fixture which took us all by surprise. A Chelsea squad of 23 over two halves had their first run-out of the new 2011/12 season against Wycombe Wanderers from League One at Cobham and as you would expect, Chelsea won.

The score. Chelsea 3-0 Wycombe Wanderers

There was no sign of Tottingham's Luka Modric

Without Michael Essien who was ruled out for at least six months yesterday, Chelsea's scorers were Yossi Benayoun, Fernando Torres (what!! lol) and Slobodan Rajkovic.

No Modric. He is expected to fly with Tottingham to South Africa before Chelsea fly out on their tour to the Far East next week.


1st Half Chelsea: Hilario, Bosingwa, Kalas, Terry (c), van Aanholt, Malouda, Kaby, Mikel, Kakuta, Benayoun, Drogba.

2nd Half Chelsea: Turnbull, Ferreira (c), Ivanovic, Rajkovic, Cole, B. Clifford (Mellis 65), McEachran, Zhirkov, Kalou, Anelka, Torres.


1st Half Wycombe: Bull, Foster, Sandell (Dunne), Winfield, Tunnicliffe (Stewart), Halls, Lewis, Betsy, Ainsworth, Grant, Rendell

2nd Half Wycombe: Bull (Arnold), McCoy, Sandell, Johnson, Tunnicliffe, Harris, Donnelly, Bloomfield, McClure (Ibe), Beavon, Strevens.


For your first taste of the new Chelsea under AvB, tune into Chelsea TV on Saturday when Chelsea travel to Portsmouth to play their first 'public' friendly game of the new season, kick off 3pm.
