Di Santo Blackburn Loan Extended

Franco di Santo's current loan spell at Sam Allardyce´s Blackburn from Chelsea has been extended until the end of the season despite the questionable stories about the youngsters demands for more money to stay at Ewood Park.

Those stories took me by surprise as the 20-year-old doesn’t give the impression of someone unreasonable or who wants to rock the boat – nevertheless, his agent (or perhaps the press?) may be another matter.

Di Santo, Blackburn Rovers
Di Santo has only scored one goal in 15 appearances but has been used generally as a lone striker in front of a deep-lying midfield – and is obviously seen as important enough for Big Sam to keep on.

Ancelotti and Arnesen have obviously decided that between Anelka, Borini and Sturridge we have sufficient cover for the period of the ACN.
