Chelsea to sign Turnball on a free transfer

The Daily Mirror report that Chelsea will sign 24-year-old Middlesbrough keeper Ross Turnball on a free transfer in the summer.  Turnball´s contract expires at the end of this season and the 6ft 4in keeper has apparently turned down a new contract offer from Gareth Southgate’s side.

Turnbull has been 2nd in-line behind actual keeper Brad Jones but has made 26 first team appearances for Boro.  Chelsea scouts obviously see sufficient potential in him to replace Hilario and deputise for Cech.

Newcastle United and Celtic were also interested in obtaining Turnball´s signature.

I suppose with Turnbull on his way, Hilario's contract is up this year.... shame the boy aint done nothing wrong. He moved his wife and kids over here when Jose signed him and there hasn't been a word from the fella.

(Sm152) Hilario

Always done a job for us when we most needed him (Barcelona). Much like Ambrosio (against Arsenal in the CL QF).

You need to get in touch with the club direct (this is an UNOFFICIAL site).

There is a link on the left-hand side menu - there you should find email addresses and other contact details.
