I walked into work this morning and it all kicked-off that last night's England game wasn't available on TV for everyone to see. Now unless I was that busy yesterday I didn't hear a single mumble of discontent that the game wasn't on the telly nor were highlights available and I doubt anybody was aware that England were playing.
But I take their point and I take their view that ALL England games should be available on TV for ALL to see - just goes to show the FA like their money and will sell their 'soul and integrity' to the devil and to a TV station based in Ireland - will these same people have moaned if England got beat like the realistic of us expected them to be beaten? Big up to Theo Walcott who I thought was a 'shining star' against Andorra on Saturday along with Joe Cole who scored both of England's goals, for his hat-trick last night. Second start in the Three Lions shirt and as it was widely expected for the World to end yesterday, young Theo created his own 'Big-Bang'!!! We already know that Michael Essien is out for almost the rest of the season, but the news on Joe Cole after his head nearly exploded once Kovac's elbow crated across it, is more positive. Joey will be assessed over the next few hours, but it is expected that he will be available for selection for the Man Citeh game on Saturday. As for the rest of the Chelsea clan in action last night - well Petr Cech kept a clean sheet in Czech Republic's 0-0 draw against N Ireland. Anelka scored for France in their 2-1 win over Serbia where Branislav Ivanovic scored for Serbia. Deco scored for Portugal to give them lead with four minutes to go against Denmark. But remarkably Denmark scored twice in the last minutes to win 3-2. Jose Bosingwa, Carvalho and Ferreira all played 90 minutes. Ex-Chelsea legends on the scoresheet last night were Eidur on target for Iceland against Scotland and Sheva scored his 2nd goal in as many games for the Ukraine as they beat Kazakhstan. Roll on Man Citeh and Robinho on Saturday.
