Robinho has just held a press conference at the Hotel Euro building in Madrid 11:40 this morning. Reporters waited for 40 mins as the conference was supposed to start at 11:00am – when it finally happened, Robinho was short, succinct and emphatic in his desire to leave Real Madrid and play for Chelsea.

The press conference was almost impossible to hear because of reporters mobile phones distorting the signal from Robinho´s microphone but from what I could hear and the summary from a Radio Marca reporter present was the following: 

That he was holding the press conference to reiterate that he wants to leave Real Madrid and play for Chelsea… 

That he’s told Schuster and Calderon “…a thousand times” that he wants to leave and wants to play for Chelsea and work with Scolari… 

Robinho used the example scenario of Cristiano Ronaldo – he had nothing against Ronaldo…but if Calderon understands Ronaldo´s situation then he should understand his. 

That before Robinho had “knocked on Calderon’s door” before to renew his contract and they didn’t want to know – only when Ronaldo had turned them down did they show any interest. 

"Now that the club have failed to sign anyone else, suddenly they want me to stay."

"Schuster is not my father!" (referring to Schuster saying that Robinho would see through time that he was right in not letting him go to Chelsea).

Again ….he wants to leave and play for Chelsea. 

The reporter said that Robinho´s tone was “very angry”….
