Two weeks ago we brought you the news that The Longside had sponsored a keg of ale at the Claret Trust's forthcoming Second Beer Festival. Here are further details direct from the Clarets Trust on the festival including an update of the ales and beers that will be present, and the possibility of a special guest appearance.
Trust Beer Festival - Further Details

Friday 28th April (Midday–11pm)
Saturday 29th April (11am –11pm)
Sunday 30th April (11 am – 11pm)
It is also hoped that Burnley FC Chairman, Barry Kilby will be present on the Friday at 7 pm pulling a pint!
The bar will also be open throughout the Burnley v Luton match on Sunday, the last match of the 2005-6 Season
There will be over 30 Real Ales from local and national brewers to choose from including a re-blended ‘Bob Lord’s Bitter’ provided by Moorhouses.
Some of the other breweries to be represented with their beers include Leatherbritches, Millstones, Copper Dragon, Bank Top, Southport, Luton Trust Bitter, and Leyden Forever Bury
A selection of ciders and bottled fruit wines will also be available. Live music and Sky Sports will also be provided and refreshments will be made available.
The Clarets Trust would also like to thank Moorhouses for donating glasses (emblazoned with the Clarets Trust logo) for the event as well as re-blending Bob Lords Bitter and Copper Dragons for supplying the helpers with shirts.
