Spicer on his way

The Clarets are expected to announce the signing of John Spicer today after the midfielder agreed a three-year contract with Burnley.

Bournemouth have confirmed they have agree a fee of £35,000 for the former Arsenal player and Spicer is believed to have already passed a medical.

Bournemouth chairman, Peter Phillips, had this to say.....

"We were fortunate to sign a player of John's talents for a fee of £10,000,"

"The deal we struck with John's agent was only possible if we included an escape clause, though whilst saying that, we have more than recouped our outlay, whilst of course, securing John's talents for the past year."
