Moore goes to Leeds

Burnley have agreed a £50,000 fee with Leeds United for striker Ian Moore. Moore is out of contract at the end of the season so the fee received is certainly good business by the club.

Moore has started 140 league games for the Clarets and has been used as a sub on 26 occassions. He has scored a total of 37 league goals during the 4 seasons at Turf Moor. He has been more prolific in the FA Cup though scoring 12 goals for the club.

Moore has been put down the pecking order by at first Robbie Blake and now Ade Akinbiyi and it was highly unlikely that Cotterill was going to offer him a new contract at the end of the season.
