Burnley face Preston North End in the first Lancashire derby of the season tomorrow. The visitors have only recorded one victory on their travels this season and we can only hope that this run continues tomorrow.

MATCH PREVIEW

BURNLEY
VS
PRESTON

SATURDAY, 11TH DECEMBER 2004

15:00 PM KICK OFF

TURF MOOR, BURNLEY

TEAM NEWS

John McGreal misses the game tomorrow through suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season at Plymouth so Gary Cahill and Frank Sinclair will continue their partnership at the centre of the defence. Once again Burnley will be boosted by the return of a mystery player but Steve Cotterill hasn't revealed who that will be.

Preston will choose from almost a full squad although we believe Andy Lonergan and Tyrone Mears will miss the game through injury. Paul McKenna returns after serving his suspension.

FORM GUIDE

Burnley have won the last two games at Turf Moor 1-0 and had a sequence of 3 successive victories prior to last Saturday's defeat at Plymouth.

Preston's away form is poor and they have recorded just one victory which came 3 weeks ago at Cardiff and a 5-0 defeat at Wigan last Sunday will not have done their confidence any good. Preston are currently on 29 points which is one less than the Clarets.
