Burnley earned yet another draw away from home, this week it was against high flying Ipswich Town at Portman Road. Robbie Blake took the lead for the Clarets but Ipswich managed a late equaliser.

Burnley went ahead after only 19 minutes after a Robbie Blake goal, after Micah Hyde squared the ball to Blake and Blake passed the ball into the back of the net. After that Ipswich, as expected had the majority of possession. On the 74th minute Duff went down with cramp and was replaced by loan signing Richard Duffy. After 89 minutes, whilst Mo Camara was down injured Ipswich played on, with Camara playing them onside and made it 1-1 through Matt Richards. Overall it could be said a fair result, but Burnley found themselves cheated of the three points that keeps eluding the Clarets on their travels. Chaplow and Hyde were outstanding in the Midfield, working up and down whilst the defence were as strong as ever, McGreal included on his return. Coyne was also on excellent form as he prevented the Tractor Boys from scoring time and time again, especially in the five minutes of injury time, with the opposition hitting the post and the bar in the space of ten seconds. Ex-claret Drissa Diallo also put in a stunning display for the opposition, and he one of the reasons the score wasn't 2-1. The team lined up roughly as follows:

Steve Cotterill had this to say after the game....

"Obviously we're disappointed to lose a goal in the last minute,But we should have killed the game off with a second goal long before that."

"We could've scored three or four goals in the second half and if we'd have got a second goal it would have sealed the win.

"I've said it before, but we need to be more ruthless away from home and start killing games off.

"But last year we got a good thumping here and that didn't happen again."
