Bury Preview

The Clarets are away tonight in the 1st round of this seasons Carling Cup. Victory tonight would mean a place in the 2nd Round and a chance to draw one of the Premiership clubs.

Burnley off down the M65 tonight as we face one of near neighbours Bury in the Carling Cup. We played Bury in the same round of this competition 6 years ago and drew 1-1 at Gigg Lane before losing the return leg 4-1.

The Clarets do not have any injury problems altough it is likely that Steve Cotterill will make some changes for the tie. Cotterill may start with his normal 11 but expect to see the likes of Lee Roch, Matt O'Neill, Joel Pilkington and Ryan Townsend take part at some stage tonight.

Bury are expected to field their strongest team and that could mean a return to the side for Graeme Jones. The tie will be decided tonight with extra time and penalties if they are needed. Burnley Football Club have confirmed to us that fans who haven't bought tickets will be able to pay on the night.
