Clarets left Turf Moor on Saturday with that feeling of elation that only usually accompanies stunning victories. Yet against Wolves the clarets only drew, in a match where we bossed the relegated Premiership side for nearly 90 minutes.
Match Summary:
Burnley 1 (Blake wonder goal, as he receives the ball from Branch and dribbles around 3 defenders)
Wolves 1 (Newton making the most of a rare Sinclair mistake, as his header to the keeper falls short)
Star Man = Michael Duff. In match where everyone played well, Duff showed his fitness levels and desire were clearly there. His effort, drive and sheer persistance is a real asset and it looks as though Steve Cotterill's calculated risk is not looking that risky.
Hopefully more later.
