We bring you a round-up of the news involving former Burnley players. Neil Wood and Bradley Orr have all found new clubs whilst its been a very big couple of weeks for one former player. Paul Weller, who was the longest serving player at the club, is currently training with Chris Brass at York City. Brass took Steve Davis to Bootham Crescent a few weeks back and was delighted to offer Weller the chance to do some pre-season training. Weller is still waiting for an offer to come in from a league club and will stay at York until he accepts a good offer.

David May is still considering retiring from the game since being released whilst Mark McGregor is waiting for an offer to come in. Alan Moore has gone to Shelbourne and played his first game back in Ireland the other night.

Neil Wood has signed a 2 year contract with Coventry City. He was released from Manchester United and with Steve Cotterill taking over a move to Burnley was never really on the cards.

Bradley Orr has signed for Bristol City after being released by Bobby Robson at Newcastle. Orr was highly thought of by Stan Ternent but he was in the same situation as Neil Wood when Ternent was not offered a new contract.

The main news on any former Claret over the last few weeks has been about Dimitrios Papadopoulos and his involvement in the Greeks triumphant European Championship campaign. Papadopoulos started in the group game against Russia and set up their goal in that game, he was involved in the final and came on as a substitute in the 81st minute. He was booked during this time but was on the pitch when the final whistle was blown.
