Pre-Season training

New Burnley manager Steve Cotterill conducted his first training session with the 1st team this morning. There were just 12 members of the squad that trained but we are expecting numbers to go up over the coming weeks. The new squad numbers have been released today with new signing John McGreal taking over the number 4 shirt whilst Richard Chaplow has now taken Glen Little's old number 7 shirt. Graham Branch is the new number 9 whilst Tony Grant is given the number 11 shirt.

Brian Jensen was interestingly only given the number 12 shirt which would suggest that Cotterill is expected to announce a new goalkeeper signing shortly.

The youngsters of Matty O'Neill, Joel Pilkington and Paul Scott are given the numbers of 14,15 and 16.
