The search for Ternent's successor is nearly over.

Today is the 1st of June and this week is Barry Kilby's self-imposed deadline to have a new manager in place. Rumours from the Turf have been everywhere over the last few weeks, and at one point or the other we seemed to have hired more than about 10 men to fill Stan Ternent's shoes, but alas a decision is close.

It is rumoured that the final two on the short list are Phil Brown (Current Assistant to Sam Allardyce) and Steve Cotterill (former Cheltenham, Stoke manager).

Barry Kilby has talked to both final candidates over this weekend and while we do not expect a decision to be announced today - it is likely we will have our new manager in place by friday - probably on a 3 year contract to mirror the 3 year plan. Only then can we look at the current out of contract players at Turf Moor and wider a field.

Make no mistake you will hear soon who our new manager is and we will provide you with all the information you could shake a stick at, to make sure you know him as well as he knows himself!!
