Grant out for Season

It has been confirmed today that Tony Grant will not play for Burnley again this season. Grant is ruled out due to him sustaining an injury to his knee ligament. Grant has had an excellent season in the centre of midfield. His partnership with Richard Chaplow has been one of the few success stories and his injury will a major impact on the team. The midfielder has been playing with damaged knee ligaments for some time and the injury was too much for him during the Cardiff game. He was susbstituted and Stan Ternent has confirmed he will play no further part in our campaign.

Unfortunately the midfield has suffered with injuries lately with Neil Wood, Paul Weller and Richard Chaplow all spending time on the treatment table in recent weeks.
