Well if playing for England U21's, scoring a peach of a goal in the league and being man of the match is not enough - Chaplow has just got another award! READ: Yes, Richard Chaplow has been awarded the first ever "Young Lion" award via the FA's official website.

The FA Acting Technical Director Les Reed explained more:

"Richard has been identified as a player of some potential. But he is a relatively late developer compared to other players of his age in the England set-up."

"If he keeps up this kind of progress, then I'll certainly be looking at him with the 2005 World Youth Championships in mind...it has only been after his selection for the Burnley first team that it has been easier to look at the qualities he undoubtedly possesses."
