Thursday News Round Up

After the busy Thursday of last week today has been significantly quieter. We update you on a myriad of issues relating to Burnley Football Club.

FA Cup Match:

Telford have been given one more chance to host the FA Cup 4th round tie at their home ground. Hopefully the match will take place next Wednesday. But do not be too optimistic, as there has been no game at Telford since mid December! Should it not take place on Wednesday, a neutral ground will probably used on the Saturday of FA Cup 5th round weekend, pushing our tie back further. Equally it is bound to cause logistical problems regarding tickets and transport.

Community News:

BFC today backed the National THINK! campaign. During the game on Saturday leaflets, air fresheners etc will be handed out to remind people about driving safely. BFC are one of 80 league clubs backing the venture.

Also local Bakers Dolphin have given the club a boost by offering free bread rolls for the rest of the season to the catering division at Turf Moor. Such a venture will save the club vital money and we must be grateful to another local business for helping the club out. So eat a hot dog, the bread came from a claret!!!

Match News:

The club have asked fans to get to the ground early on Saturday to see the launch of the Wall of Legends. Equally the club plan to trial two large claret and blue flags in the stands as part of their attempts to improve the atmosphere.
