Busy day at Turf Moor

Wow who said Thursday's are boring!

Today Stan Ternent has added another two players to his squad available for the game at Wigan on Saturday.

Charlton goalkeeper Paul Radchubka has signed on an initial one month loan. The 22 year old American born keeper started his career at Manchester United, in the same team as Luke Chadwick and Lee Roche. He moved to Charlton 18 months a go for £200,000 but has since found his first team chances limited.

Neil Wood, is currently the captain of the Manchester United reserves. He is 21 years old and although many thought he was a striker, Stan has since said he is left footed and is seen as a left midfielder. Wood was born very close to Old Trafford, but has also been unable to break in to the United first team. He has suffered some bad injuries in his short career: fractured skull, blood clot etc but is now fully fit and raring to go.

These two players should also be available for the FA Cup a long with Bradley Orr, the Newcastle United Reserves Captain who signed in on loan yesterday.

Stan has recently confirmed that none of the new signings are costing immense amounts. Orr's wages are being fully paid by Newcastle, we are paying half of Radchubka's wages, while Sir Alex is once more helping us with Wood's wages.

Stan was obviously delighted with his moves in the market, moves that show the true value of the gaffer's contacts. "It's a good deal for everyone and gives everyone a lift. It strengthens the squad and it's good for the fans to see new players as well."

It certainly is Stan! The Longsider would like to welcome all the new players to the club and to thank their respective clubs for doing such good deals with us.

Also rumours that Glen Little was on his way to PNE, seem unfounded! So rest easily clarets.

Wow - one busy day!
