Burnley are set to take their biggest away following so far this season on Saturday. Just under 3,000 tickets have been sold for the game with local rivals Preston North End. The game kicks off at 12.30 after police brought it forward following the event's off the pitch at last season's game.

We lost that game 3-1 although we could consider ourselves unfortunate as we were the better side at 1-1. The previous season saw an epic encounter that kept Burnley at the top of the 1st Division with a 3-2 victory. The game was level when Arthur Gnohere popped up with the goal of the season to send the 6,000 visiting fans wild. This game also kicked off early and was played just befopre Christmas so most fans will settle for a similar performance and result.

Preston are currently 9th in the Division although they are only 4 points of fourth. Their main goal threat has once again been Ricardo Fuller(11 goals) and a number of Premiership clubs have shown interest in the Jamican. North End have only lost once in the their last 9 fixtures and it does look as though Craig Brown is starting to get things right.

Burnley haven't won away from home since Stoke and this is one of the reason why we are only 5 points above the relegation zone. A number of teams slightly below us play each other on Saturday so its imperative that the Claret's get something out of the game otherwise the league table could look worrying on Christmas Day.
