Defender becomes first Brazilian to represent Burnley Burnley Football Club are pleased to confirm the signing of Brazilian defender Vitinho from Cercle Brugge on a four-year deal for undisclosed fee.

 The 23-year-old has spent the last four seasons in Brugge, making over 70 first team appearances in the Belgium first division.

 The Belo Horizonte-born right-back made the switch to Europe from Brazilian side Cruzeiro Esporte Clube in the summer of 2018, where he had been since he was six-years-old.

 Internationally, Vitinho has represented Brazil U20’s and was called up to the provisional senior Brazil squad ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
