Clarets relegated from Premier League following a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle at Turf Moor Mike Jackson named an unchanged starting line-up from Thursday’s draw at Aston Villa, for the visit of the Magpies.

 Callum Wilson’s penalty inside the opening 20 minutes following Nathan Collins’ handball separated the teams at half-time.

 Wilson doubled Newcastle’s advantage on the hour with a composed finish in the box.

 Maxwel Cornet scored a 69th minute consolation for the hosts, which could not prevent relegation.

First-half

 Roared on by a sell-out crowd, the early minutes saw both sides battle to create the first chance.

 The game was paused on 11 minutes for Newcastle forward Joelinton to receive treatment for an injury which forced the Brazilian to be stretchered off and replaced by Jacob Murphy.

Oh well, that's it, we went out with a whimper, not good enough all season.
We are now in serious trouble, no manager, 9 players out of contract, massively in debt and Yanks at the helm god help us.
Tough season ahead for whoever is in charge.

I was there today and to be honest I couldn't get excited at all throughout the game.

Got now to rebuild The only players id keep is Mee Pope Roberts Taylor Mcneil Brownhill Cornet Waghorn Collins James T is off the rest is like giving money for old rope Hopefully there is money in the coffers to buy and not in someones bank account Whats going to happen I hope its not going to go the same way as it did in the seventies So heads up and keep the faith

It is difficult to keep the faith with the Yanks in charge KC, they know nowt about Burnley and what's required.

We have been sold down the river more than once by supposed true blooded clarets. At least the yanks are honestly in it for the money. Shame they don t have any.
