Burnley FC is saddened to hear of the death of former employee Jim Thompson

Jim had been an employee of the club for over 60 years and was a friendly and recognisable face at Turf Moor through those decades.

A truly wonderful gentleman and a true Burnley stalwart, who will be sadly missed.

RIP Jim, and condolences to all his loved ones.

I have had the pleasure of his company a few times in the Ighten Mount; you couldn't wish to meet a more pleasant person.
