The Turf Sleepout is fast approaching with over 50 Burnley FC supporters signed up to take part in the event so far.

On Friday 15th November, Burnley FC in the Community, homelessness charity Emmaus Burnley and SafeNet Domestic Abuse Service are encouraging business leaders and fans to pledge to spend one-night sleeping pitch side in the Turf Moor stadium to raise vital funds and awareness of homelessness in the region. According to research by housing charity Shelter in 2018 at least 320,000 people are homeless in Britain. This amounts to a year-on-year increase of 13,000, a 4% rise. Over £28,000 was raised from last year’s Turf Sleepout with the funds raised split equally between the three charities. Burnley FC in the Community used the funds to support the most disadvantaged members of the community through their various sport, health, education and inclusion programmes.
