Two quickfire penalties in the second half, converted by Andre Gray and Sam Vokes, then gave the Clarets a healthy lead, before Scott Arfield’s deflected effort completed the rout midway through the second half. 

  That meant the red-hot Clarets secured their fifth win in six games and have now scored four times at Turf Moor in their last four outings! 

  Sean Dyche named an unchanged side to the team that convincingly beat Brentford in London 10 days earlier. 

  Former Clarets skipper Jason Shackell made his first return to Turf Moor since his summer departure to the Rams. 

  And in a first half that the visitors took charge of, it took just 90 seconds to test Tom Heaton, when Chris Martin’s half-volley from the edge of the box was clawed to safety. 

  Heaton was called into action again six minutes later, parrying a swirling Tom Ince drive from distance. 

  However, after weathering the early storm, Burnley struck as the game burst into life on the half hour mark. 

  A wonderful curling cross in from the right by Matt Lowton was intended for Andre Gray, but Keogh inadvertently got their first, glancing his header past a helpless Scott Carson.
