Former Watford Boss "The Outstanding Candidate"

Co-chairmen Jon Banaszkiewicz and Mike Garlick insist that new Burnley manager Sean Dyche was the ‘outstanding candidate’ in a strong field.

Former Watford boss Dyche has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Clarets and will take charge with immediate effect.
 
In a joint-statement, Mr Banaszkiewicz and Mr Garlick said: “On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are delighted to welcome our new manager Sean Dyche to Burnley Football Club.
 
“Sean was the outstanding candidate following an extensive and structured interviewing process to find the right manager to fit in with our vision for the club.
