Kieran Trippier enjoyed a lively start to his Burnley career in a feisty stalemate at Oldham.
The on-loan Manchester City defender was handed an 80th minute debut by Edddie Howe and played his part in the shut out as the League One Latics' gave the Clarets a real test at Boundary Park. Most of the clear-cut chances fell to Burnley, with Martin Paterson, Ross Wallace and Charlie Austin all coming close to breaking the deadlock.
