Celebrity Soccer Six at Turf Moor

5th June 2011

When Burnley came out of the Premiership the world sort of lost sight of our little club in East Lancashire,  but the stars of the Music and Television world didn't, and on the 5th June they will all come out to play.

Former grounds that have hosted this tournament are; Villa Park (Aston Villa), Upton Park (West Ham United), Elland Road (Leeds United), Goodison Park (Everton), St Andrews (Birmingham City), Stamford Bridge Chelsea! now we can add Turf Moor and Burnley Football Club  to that list, this is an A-List event.

Previous winners of this A-List event are Blur, James, Westlife, The Darkness and erm Rod Stewart, even Iron Maiden have won it! add Kasabian to that list and even Pete Doherty passed a drugs test to win the tournament in 2007.

Runners-Up include 'Robbie Williams'  and even the great unwashed 'The Levellers'.

This year the stars include The Wanted, Plan B, Pete Doherty, Shane Ward, Some strange dude named Wagner, watching that bloke play football must be worth the admission fee alone.

Stars from the screen include cast members from Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Waterloo Road,The only way is Essex and the superstars in the making from  The X-Factor.

Now watching football is dear to alot of people, and paying to see Stavros Flatley is the stuff nightmares are made of! But the Father and Son could be comic genius.

And can anyone remember Danny Dyers last visit to Burnley? when he met the regulars of the Foresters Arms, now he'll be at the true Claret'n'Blue mecca, that's Burnley not his beloved West Ham.

Plus many many more to be announced, keep checking the official site www.burnleyfootballclub.com/

It's not Burnley but it's the perfect way of spending the day with the family, seeing some stars that you maybe wouldn't see anywhere else and seeing footy during the long summer break, and let's face it this lot can't be much worse than England last summer.

Ticket Prices for the event are

£12 Adult
£8 Children

Family Tickets
£40 (Two Adults Three Chlidren Under 12)

These are avalible at the ticket office

or

via telephone on 0871 221 1914
