West Ham 5 Burnley 1

If the Clarets are to get to Wembley this season they will have to do it via the promotion play-offs after their FA Cup ambitions were blown away in a burst of second-half goals at Upton Park.

After dominating the first period with one of their best 45 minutes of the season, Eddie Howe's men looked capable of clawing back Thomas Hitzlsperger's opening goal to keep alive their hopes of an upset and a quarter-final trip to Stoke City.
But three goals in 15 minutes after the break, including a double blast from Carlton Cole, put paid to that prospect.

I thought my weekend was bad when I watched Rangers lose to Celtic so badly but, little did I know that it would get worse.
As I watched tonight game I think I now realize that our chances of promotion are not realistic. Not enough games for EH to make the necessary improvements to strengthen our mid-field and the defensive unit. Sure,Grant did not look too steady at times but he was hung out to dry by a porous back line. Eagles and one or two other tried hard but it is difficult to score goals when you have to fall back to shore up the defense The offside trap did not work --if that was the plan -- and allowing West Ham to get to our goal unimpeded
So we give Mr Howe some breathing space and let him put together a team which will put the fear of death in all the teams of the Championship next year.(Sm150)

Burnley played a better passing football . The players were unlucky not to score during the first half time . The WHU goalkeeper was in a fantastic form . he quelled the waves of Clarets attacks .
Their first goal was scored without any of our players defending .He got the ball ,placed it at the right and kicked hard and fast .

Our defence has to be looked after . Their long balls were causing much harm for our feeble defence .

our players cannot do proper heading either on attacks or defence .
Still I am not blaming our players .They did what they could . They will recover soon . playing a series of away matches must have caused them much fatigue and on this condition no player can perform properly .
