Burnley FC's Top Flight Tour 2010 For the seventh year running, a bunch of hard-pedalling Clarets fans are set to undertake a week-long cycling challenge to raise vital funds.

Following previous years’ exertions, taking in journeys from Amsterdam, France and Ireland and taking in the length of Britain, the cyclists will this year look to visit all 20 Premier League grounds in a week to raise cash for Leukaemia Research and Youth Development at Burnley FC.

The ride, commencing on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 at Fratton Park, Portsmouth, makes it way northwards before finishing at the Stadium of Light on Saturday May 8th, with the riders then returning to Turf Moor for Burnley's final match of the season against Tottenham Hotspur on May 9th.

And you can join the fun…

Riders need to be able to ride around 85 miles per day, at an average speed of around 12 miles per hour.
The ride is fully supported, including accommodation and breakfast, while a detailed route plan is naturally provided.
All we ask riders to do is pay a small registration fee, raise £750 in sponsorship and keep up the pace!

bikeride2_081209_a2010 bike ride organiser and Burnley FC Catering Manager Chris Gibson said: “We have raised over £130,000 for Youth Development and other good causes over the past six years.

“The theme for this year’s ride was obvious as soon as the promotion dream was realised,

“The Top flight tour will hopefully give participants a glimpse in to the homes of all our Premier League rivals, while following an interesting route on the quietest roads possible.

“We usually have a diverse group, all with the common bond of following the Clarets and being up for the challenge.

The riders are once again tremendously grateful to Adastra Software for being the main sponsor of the 2010 event.
