The kit of the beautiful Burnley assistant physio Claire Judd will once again be sponsored by the posters of TheLongside.co.uk this season after some excellent work by Turfmanphil to get this opportunity up and running again.

It was in the middle of August when Turfmanphil came up with the idea again, and by the next league game, against Colchester, the 'Claire Appreciation Society' appeared in the matchday programme.

It will once again mean that those who have chipped in have the opportunity to take part in the Sponsor's Day, which was a very enjoyable experience last year. It just so happened to fall on the day we stuffed Watford 4-1 at the Turf, and the hospitality by Burnley Football Club was second to none.

For those of you who will be attending the Sponsor's Day, the price you have paid includes your matchday ticket for the VIP seats in the Bob Lord Stand, a three-course meal in the new 1882 Lounge, a tour of Turf Moor with Clarets' legend Andy Lochhead, a walk on the pitch to meet Claire, a souvenir programme and gift, and a chance to see the man-of-the-match presentation with player, Barry Kilby and Dave Edmundson.

The Sponsor's Day this season takes place on Saturday 25th November, as the Clarets play host to Birmingham City, and those of you who have become part of the 'Claire Appreciation Society' can see your name up in lights here.

After the day's proceedings, the Longside will also be having their early Christmas bash. This will be open to all our posters and more details of the venue etc will follow in due course. Both Claire and Carl Sanderson from BFC have indicated they can attend.
