Looking forward to this encounter as Bedford always have a strong team. A little confusing regarding time of KO as it now is 2.30pm and previously mentioned 3pm. Will be present from about 2pm.
Bedford 45 Pirates 24
The pirates conceded numerous penalties and this allowed the home side to dominate territory and possession.
Despite scoring 4 tries to get a try bonus point this was a disappointing display by the pirates.
A big week ahead in training ahead of the visit of Cambridge next Sunday.
To be fair Bedford are second for a reason. Getting the try BP was a pretty good effort. As P15 says, though, the penalty count was a big part of the problems we had on the day.
Pirates scored a try after 27 seconds!
Reasonably pleased with the team but Bedford were strong and deserved winners. Of course it would have been nice for the Pirates to have won. Next week a win would be appreciated.
