Centre Charlie McCaig, lock Charlie Rice, and flanker Tomiwa Agbongbon make their first league starts for the Pirates.
The inclusion of McCaig means Matt McNab moves out to the wing in place of Robin Wedlake.

Fit again scrum half Cam Jones returns to the starting line-up, whilst on the bench replacement hooker Sol Moody will be ready to make his Championship debut, as will Redruth forward Jack King who has arrived at the Mennaye Field this week on loan.

A worrying number of injuries in the back row has resulted in a first start for loan signing Tomiwa Agbongbon. We also have 2 hookers and new loan signing Jack King on the bench.
This will be a tough game against a very well coached and dangerous Bedford side.

A very frustrating afternoon as the pirates lost to the last play of the game for the 2nd time this season.
Our lack of experience showed at times as unforced errors immediately after scoring gave Bedford easy opportunities to put us under pressure.
We failed to get control of the game and this allowed a dangerous Bedford side to dominate periods of play.
We are currently 10th in the league so we will need to regroup and show a lot of character away to Cambridge next week.

Fine margins again. Lots of positives, but problems at line out time and a few errors at crucial moments. Unlucky to lose the last two home games with the last play, but we will improve as new guys bed in and they have more time to gel.

As a Blues fan I thought Pirates did well to stay in the game. Blues should have been much further ahead at half time, having gifted you a try in 2 mins.

2nd half you did better at disrupting the lineout and stopped our attack more, as you threatened to beat us. It was only the last moment we managed to get over the line, which I thought we deserved over the 80 mins.

You have had a couple of tough home games, so I am sure you will start the rise up the league.
