Falkirk football club have held further talks with former boss and current Dundee United Gaffer Ian McCall in the hope of finally resolving their claim for compensation. Falkirks's general manager, Crawford Baptie, met with Ian McCall yesterday in an attempt finally come to an agreement.

The Falkirk board and fans were absoulutly furious when Ian McCall, and his management team, made there decision tp quit the club last month to take over at Dundee United and there fight for SPL survival.

The club refused to accept the resignations of their former manager Ian McCall, along with his assistant Gordon Chisholm and coach Tony Doherty, with chairman Campbell Christie claiming he was owed £500,000 compensation because McCall was under contract until 2005.

But Baptie insists the Brockville side are keen to see the issue settled out of court and he will meet with Christie on Thursday morning to discuss the next move.

He said: "Discussions are still ongoing and I spoke to Ian yesterday.

"The chairman is out of the country but I will speak to him about what Ian said.

"I have some information which has to be relayed to him and I'll have a meeting with him.

"We still don't know what will happen and we just have to wait and see.

"But no-one wants to see this go to court - we just want a result and our compensation."
