Millwall chairman Theo Paphitis should copy Norwich supremo Delia Smith, after the latest racism allegations. We're not talking about baking cakes or wearing a dress, we'd just like Theo to sit with our fans to show some solidarity. Delia's doing just that after a race row with Everton. Basically, Delia's snubbing the Everton boardroom after the Scousers accused her fans of racism towards Joseph Yobo.

Canaries supremo Delia Smith today pledged to keep her promise and snub the boardroom of Everton when her beloved Norwich City visit Merseyside next week.

The majority shareholder vowed to boycott Everton's top brass after the Goodison Park club branded City supporters racists last season.

Despite a Football Association investigation which cleared City fans of racist chanting at an FA Cup tie at Everton last January, the Merseysiders refused to apologise. So Delia vowed to sit with City supporters rather than club officials the next time the clubs met at Goodison Park. She said: "I have great respect for Everton stalwarts Bill Kenwright and Phillip Carter, but I made a promise to the Norwich fans that I would sit with them when we return to Goodison and that's what I will do."

The two sides are due to met on Merseyside next Wednesday.

Paul Webster, chairman of Capital Canaries, said: "I think it's good; it shows what she thinks about how the situation was treated last time we were at Everton. I'm glad to hear she's making her one woman stand."

The row erupted after City fans were accused of being abusive to Everton's Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo, but Norwich fans insisted they had been engaged in good-natured banter with Wayne Rooney.

Roy Blower, chairman of the Norwich Independent Supporters' Association, said: "I think it's splendid. It's something I knew she would do. When she says she's going to do something, she does it."

When the teams met at Carrow Road earlier this season Everton ran out 3-2 winners. City fans will be hoping their return visit to Everton, where they lost 3-1 in the FA Cup last year, will yield a vital result in the club's fight against relegation.

David Garwood, spokesman for the West Norfolk Canaries, said: "She's more than welcome to sit in our section. The incident at Everton was annoying more than anything."
