Millwall are reportedly in talks to sign former Fulham, Feyenoord and Celtic left winger Bobby Petta. Championship outfits Leeds United and Wigan Athletic have both failed to agree terms with the Dutchman. Petta was recently on trial at Bolton but failed to impress boss Sam Allardyce. The 30-year-old is a free agent after being released by Celtic in November last year.

Petta failed to win a deal at Fulham while on loan there last season, making only three appearances in over five months.

His agent, Peter Harrison, said: "He wants to play in England, preferably in the Premiership, but Southampton and Bolton have decided against signing him.

"I have held talks with Millwall and there’s a good chance something might happen with them."

The 5ft 7 inch winger is described as pacey and an excellent crosser of the ball and made an immediate impact at Fulham, setting up Saha in the FA Cup against Cheltenham.

However, he failed to cement himself a first team place with the Cottagers.

Petta played in a Champions League qualifier last season for Celtic before falling out of favour, and since then he's been looking for a club on a permanent basis.
