Marco Di Vaio, currently plying his trade for Valencia has revealed that he turned down the chance to move to Anfield, the 30-year-old was widely tipped to be part of a swap move involving Fernando Morientes.
But Di Vaio, rejected the move out of hand stating:
“They have spoken to me about that proposal. Valencia wants Morientes but I don't want to know anything about a possible exchange.
"I'm not going to go where I don't want, more so, if it means that another player joins Valencia. I'm not a parcel, I have a family."
It is thought the player wishes to either stay in Spain or secure a permanent move to Monaco, as he places his families wishes above his own ambitions and they have no desire for life in England.
