Dynamo Moscow part company with coach

Dynamo Moscow have sacked their Brazilian coach Ivo Wortman after a string of disappointing results, the club announced today. Dynamo’s owner Alexei Fedorychev has spent almost 100 million Euros since taking over control of the club last year. And for that sort of investment he expects Dynamo to be at least competing for the title this year, which they a singularly failing to do.

The message on the clubs official website was a simple:

"He has failed to fulfil the given task and thus was sacked by the club."

Stark words, and a warning to the next coach, that while Mr Fedorychev, is more than willing to splash the cash, results better follow.

Andrei Kobelev takes over as caretaker coach in the meantime
