Well over a year may have past since Jonathan Woodgate left Newcastle United for Real Madrid, but it finally looks like his debut game is upon us.
Its been 18 long months since Woody last played, but was on the bench for Real Madrid’s defeat to Espanyol at the weekend, but Woodgate is clear that he feels he is ready now telling Spanish paper Diario AS:
"If coach Wanderley Luxemburgo and Real Madrid need me, then I am ready,"
"It is what I am working to do here and I feel very good."
And the way Real’s season has progressed this far, a return to form for Woodgate could just keep coach Luxemburgo, in a job.
