Newcastle to rival Spurs for Chelsea star

Newcastle United and Spurs are getting set to go into another transfer tussle over a Chelsea star, this time Wayne Bridge. Earlier in the summer, both clubs were involved in a move for Scott Parker, with the midfielder ultimately preferring a move to Tyneside. And now they look set to recreate the same scenario com January, with England left back Wayne Bridge the player to choose between the sides.

Bridge has suddenly found himself behind Spain's Asier Del Horno, in the starting line up at Chelsea and both Graeme Souness and Martin Jol are said to be keeping a close watch on the situation.

With this being a world cup year the need for first team football is more pressing than ever, and Bridge is expected to move in January, it seams just a case of where to.
