Newcastle and Spurs in for a Luca?

Livorno's striker Cristiano Lucarelli has admitted that he has received interest from both Newcastle United and Spurs have both made a move to sign him. However the Italian international is almost certain that he will be staying in Italy with Livorno. "Surely I can't deny these two sides [Tottenham and Newcastle] have asked for information, but the situation isn't as dramatic as a few papers wrote," he told Sky Italia.

"I must talk with the president, should I clear certain things up with him then I'll stay at Livorno 100 percent," he added.

Now maybe it is just me being a tad cynical, but I wonder I just wonder if he is negotiating a new contract, so I had a look around and sure enough he is.

I personally think the chances of a move by Lucarelli to either slide is slim to non-existent.
