Spurs and Chelsea to scrap it out for Dutch star?

The news that Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt wants to move to the Premiership has been met with speculation that Chelsea will table a bid very soon. Spurs boss Martin Jol has spoken of his admiration for the player and indeed Kuyt speaking to the News of the World reciprocated the praise Stating:

"Spurs are a very big club and the most important thing for me is that Martin Jol is their coach. I respect him very much."

But they are yet to offer even close to what Feyenoord would expect to get from the sale of their prize asset, with an earlier bid from Liverpool also falling well short of their estimation.

Chelsea of course are not frightened to pay the big fees involved in getting their players, and are rumoured to be lining up a bid.
