Spurs are set to turn their attentions away from Newcastle United’s Jermaine Jenas and try and work out a move for Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Aldo Duscher. Tottenham boss Martin Jol’s main target was Jenas, but Spurs are yet to come anywhere near Newcastle valuation of the player, but he is still determined to land another defensive midfielder before the transfer window closes and sees Duscher as the right player.

An Argentine international, has not been getting regular first team football at Deportivo and it is understood that he would consider a move to the Premiership, especially with this being a world cup season.
