Cicinho who has a get out clause in his contract as revelead by Alex Ferguson, has been invited by to join Manchester Utd. If the deal goes through, it will be a clear signal to Gary Neville that his guaranteed position is a thing of the past. Cicinho alerted the world with his impressive performances in the Confederations Cup and was watched closely by scouts from major European sides. An attacking right full back who could also at a pinch play on the right wing is too good not to move to a top European club. Gary Neville who has now turned 30 will have serious competion for the right back spot at Manchester Utd. It is rumoured that Ferguson has offered wages of £50k a week to get the deal through as soon as possible.
It is also possible that the Brazilian might not need a work permit as he has an Italian grandmother. Although his registration is divided amongst several clubs who saw his promise early, there seems nothing serious to hold up the move. Cicinho is currently in Europe with his agent.
