Celta Vigo are chasing yer another midfielder....

Celta Vigo are in talks with Real Betis over the loan signing of midfielder Benjamin. with a view of a permanant transfer of the 29-year old, after the loan expires, this is a method that has been popular with Vigo, as they are looking for a similar deal with Viana. The Galicians have been busy in the transfer market this summer as they prepare for a return to the Spanish La Liga.

Vigo are looking to bring numerous midfielders in, but However, boss Fernando Vasquez still feels his squad is lacking a midfield enforcer and has set his sights on Benjamin.

"Our midfield needs reinforcement and Benjamin is a very experienced Primera player," he stated.


The 29-year old, has been with Real Betis for 7 years after signing him from Valladolid in the summer of "98


And the Los Verdiblancos, would be prepared to let the midfielder go, as the manager, Lorenzo Serra Ferrer, is looking to bring in Malaga star Miguel Angel.


Meanwhile, Celta have also been linked with a hugely-ambitious swoop for Anderlecht starlet Vincent Kompany.

The 19-year-old defender, already an established Belgium international, is being courted by most of Europe's top clubs including Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus and Milan.

However, reports in Spain claim that Celta will try and persuade the youngster to join on an initial loan deal with the promise of guaranteed first-team football in the competitive Spanish league.
